When you come to Omaha flats road, you will find a beautiful orchard surrounded by bamboo, where there are about 1400 apple trees of more than 30 varieties. And since the beginning of 2000, we have started to build organic orchards with zero herbicides. The entire orchard has been artificially weeded, and organic fertilizers have been applied regularly, so that the apples used for wine are fragrant, crisp, sour and sweet with a unique flavor! Our ciders are hand brewed from a blend of more than a dozen varieties of fresh apples. These are all heirloom apple trees, cherished by English and French cider makers for centuries. It is these apples, grown and harvested in our orchards in the Matakana region with fertile soil, plenty of sun and sea breezes, that make our cider balanced, dry, refreshing, and so different.
